Sublimation is a process for metal surfaces such as aluminum and steel. Special heat-reacting inks are used so they adhered to the surfaces. These are previously primed with a layer of base-paint over which inks are added. This process produces attractive finishes practically identical to wood, marble or granite, among others. In addition to all the advantages aluminum has, like durabiltity and very low maintenance, the finishes look just like the materials they imitate.
Electrostatic painting is a type of coating in dry powder form. Added to surfaces by means of a difference in polarity between the powders and the material to which it will adhere, a layer of paint is formed. Then it goes through a high-temperature oven where it is "cured" and permanently adhered to the surfaces. The resulting finish is like a uniform liquid paint. This type of coating has many advantages such as a thicker layer vs liquid paints, better evenness, and lower ecological impact. Electrostatic painting offers a great variety of attractive finishes.
